Arrowhead Game Studios has done an excellent job breathing new life into the game Hell divers 2‘s popularity, but the studio can’t seem to do anything about its player base. In recent months, the game’s subreddit has been full of posts targeting toxic players. Since friendly fire is going on during missions, some players want to deliberately kill their teammates, ultimately ruining the gaming experience for everyone.
A video showing this growing problem recently went viral on social media, bringing attention to this one stupid habit. It seems like some players can’t keep it together during the extraction, as many like to use Stratagems at the Pelican’s landing site before entering it. Getting into the Pelican prevents players from getting damaged. However, any teammate outside of the Pelicans would be immediately obliterated.

A post on r/Helldivers2 shows one of the biggest problems in the world Hell divers 2. In the clip, some players use attacking Stratagems right before entering the Pelican-1 to take out. Because of their silly prank, a teammate was killed and the team was withdrawn without the player. Players take advantage of Pelican-1’s invincibility, but end up killing others for no reason.
This has to stop at Extract.

Many players like to do this right before the extraction. The idea is apparently very fascinating to these toxic players and if you want to try it out, do it alone and not with random players. This stupid habit often ruins the game for other people.

Criticizing these players on social media may help, but will not reduce the number of toxic players. Only Arrowhead Game Studios can do something about this and it needs to do something quickly as the community has been complaining about this for months.
Arrowhead Game Studios must take strict action
Into the prohibition system Hell divers 2 needs an overhaul because these players can easily get away with these things. This is just one of the things toxic players have done Hell divers 2 as these players have even created a mini-game in the game that promotes team killing. The mini game is mentioned Last man standing and as the name suggests, all the Helldivers try to kill each other and the last man standing gets to come out with all the loot earned during the mission.
Arrowhead’s attempts to eliminate these players have failed, so the community must do so take the matter into your own hands. Hell divers 2 has finally managed to become relevant again after losing a large portion of its fanbase, but things like this will always deter new players from trying out the game. Arrowhead Game Studios needs to impose strict penalties and punishments for this kind of behavior, only then will people stop ruining the game for others. Other popular FPS games like Rainbow Six Seige have also enabled friendly fire, but their way of dealing with toxic players is completely different.
